
About Me & Why I Started This Blog
Welcome to my blog! I’m a proud wife and mom, married to my best friend, and mom to a lively 7-year-old who keeps me on my toes. They are my biggest inspiration for staying healthy in both mind and body.
I’ve always loved a good adventure—whether it’s exploring new places, cruising on a boat, or relaxing by the pool. I enjoy cooking and savoring a glass of fine wine on our porch. My background in competitive swimming, triathlons, and running has heavily influenced my approach to fitness. But after arthritis in my knees led me to rethink my workouts, I discovered a new passion in Pilates.
Pilates became my go-to workout, offering the perfect mix of strength, cardio, and stretching—without the knee pain. This journey inspired me to become a certified mat and reformer Pilates instructor, and eventually, I opened The Shed Studio in Williams Bay to share my love for Pilates with others.
I started writing this blog to encourage others to live their best lives and to be mindful of who they are becoming. Writing wasn’t my strongest subject in school, but I have a lot I want to share. I’m here to remind you that you’re never too old to try something new. Each month, I’ll be sharing something different—whether it’s a tip for your fitness practice or a thought to ponder in your daily life.
